It seems that there is something not very right with the hob that I have. Either that, or I've been using it wrongly and still don't know better.
The fire would suddenly go off and when I (or anybody who was doing the cooking) tried to re-ignite, nothing happened. That and a red light would be on. After a while the light went off and ignition would work and all would be fine.
Tried to google but it's pretty difficult since I do not know the model for the hob. And it's not written anywhere visible. Sigh! Looks like another call to the service center... (nobody picked up when I called today, it is a public holiday!).
